Bryant Pond 4-H Camp and Learning Center is nestled on the shores of Lake Christopher in Bryant Pond, Maine with 160 acres of forest and mountain trails leading to remote campsites, streams, ponds, wetlands and a mountain summit. The local area provides many opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts including rock climbing, backpacking, hunting and fishing, canoeing and a large winter ski and sport industry. The Learning Center is just a short drive to the beautiful White Mountain National Forest, the Rangeley Lakes area, and the city of Portland is about an hour’s drive with live music, great food and shopping.

Bryant Pond 4-H Center is seeking qualified, high-energy individuals to work in the Lakeside Classroom Program. Field Teachers will provide groups of 8-15 students (kindergarten through college) with high quality programming in ecology, team building, challenge course, climbing wall and outdoor skills. Group management and group building skills will also play an important part of your daily work routine. Preference is given to those who are at least 21 years old with WFR certification and a Bachelor’s degree in the environmental or adventure education fields (although those with other educational backgrounds are welcome to apply). Experience educating and managing children in an outdoor setting, multi-day backcountry trip leading, challenge course facilitation and ecology education are also helpful. Positions are available for the Fall (August 28th to mid-November). To apply, email your cover letter, resume and three reference contacts (phone and email) to Nicolette Gagnon.
