Seeking an experienced housing professional for the position of Deputy Executive Director. Position oversees several of the agency's departments and functions, evaluates ongoing operations and recommends rule and policy changes to ensure compliance, efficiency and effectiveness in meeting the agency's mission. Focus is facilities, capital planning, sustainability and contract management. The Deputy Executive Director is responsible for overall operations in the absence of the Executive Director. Position requires work outside of regular business hours. The PHA has 70 employees, owns and manages over 1,000 apts in 14 developments, and administers over 1,900 HUD Housing Choice Vouchers.
Degree in public administration, business management, economics or related field is required; master's degree is preferred. A minimum 8 years of experience with increasing responsibility in the areas of management, administration and/or development of government assisted rental housing for a public jurisdiction or non-profit organization is required. An equivalent combination of related education and experience will be considered. Other requirements include; strong written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative management style, and working knowledge of applicable laws and policies. The salary range is $83,500 to $118,500. The actual salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
