TIQA, a Pan Mediterranean (our menu highlights dishes from all areas of the Mediterranean, focusing on pastry and breads from the Mediterranean regions of Southern Europe, Levant and Northern Africa) is seeking a full time experienced pastry chef. You will be responsible for our extensive bread and pastry program for our restaurant in addition to retail. We are looking for someone who is creative, organized and able to work independently but is also a team player. Currently we make pita, baguettes, focaccia, babka and more, in house, from scratch, in addition to a selection of desserts for the restaurant. The position will oversee all production for TIQA and TIQA Cafe, work with Executive Chef with seasonal menu development and hire and train all staff in the pastry department. We are an organization that believes in teamwork above all. We are looking for a minimum one year commitment and prefer to hire someone who wants to stay and grow with the business.

Qualifications: -5 + years of experience in pastry and breads of the Mediterranean region

-culinary arts degree preferred

-proficiency in labor and menu costing, budgeting

-proficiency in Excel and Word programs

- be able to lift 50lbs

-be able to stand for long periods of time

Compensation: Salary plus bonus, 2 weeks vacation, 5 sick days, health and dental
